Figma has launched Community Riffs β a new way to share your latest ideas, animations, prototypes, and experiments directly to the Figma Community. You can post riffs to your Community profile to showcase your best work and build out a creative portfolio you're proud of, all without leaving Figma. The September 30 release dropped alongside new improvements to Figma's mobile app for smoother collaboration and navigation.

The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a batch of Adobe patent filings, one of which describes a method for creating navigable 3D worlds from text descriptions. An example use cited describes a user typing "a foggy Japanese garden at dusk" to generate said 3D environment. A non-specified AI model would first build an intermediate "spherical" 2D picture of the space, like a 360 view produced by stitching 3D scans, which would then be fed into a second AI process to construct 3D geometry.

The Audio for Motion plugin, published to the Figma Community, lets you add sound to your Figma Motion animations β making it the missing layer between visual movement and a full sensory prototype. Separately, Figma's Plugin API now supports creating, editing, and applying reusable custom Motion animation styles, meaning the animation workflow inside Figma is maturing fast.

TODAYβS THREADEvery story today is pointing at the same shift: **the gap between concept and craft is closing fast.** Figma Riffs makes sharing a concept frictionless. Adobe's 3D patent turns a text prompt into an environment. Audio for Motion turns a visual prototype into a sensory one. EDOLUS proves that technical and aesthetic excellence aren't a trade-off β they're the new standard. And ManvsMachine at Nicer Tuesdays reminds you that behind every boundary-pushing output is a human who thought deeply about *why* before touching any tool. The creatives winning right now aren't the ones who master tools β they're the ones who know exactly what they want to say before the tool is even open.
