Published September 21, 2026, the Affinity 3.3 update β part of the new Canva ProSuite β packs in a long-awaited Blend Tool, a RAW overhaul, and a Scripting Studio. The Blend Tool lets you set bias and easing, run elements along a curve, and let Affinity work out how shapes morph β turning hours of manual placing work into something you can sculpt and play with. It's joined by a streamlined Mask Tool, 3D model support, and Affinity's biggest photography update yet, including a feature that lets you turn a flattened image back into layers.

Creative Bloq published a deep interview with Adam Vian, Creative Director of SFB Games, on September 20, 2026. Having spent more than 20 years making games with his brother Tom β from browser-based Flash games all the way up to projects with Nintendo and Apple β Vian's core creative philosophy is direct: "Everyone has a hundred bad games in them, and we did them really quickly." But it would be a mistake to place 2D art as nostalgic when it can evolve based on the artist's own developing tastes and influences. Vian's studio has tried many types of games while maintaining its own series in Detective Grimoire β a murder-mystery adventure originally inspired by Capcom's Ace Attorney.

Electric Dreama Studios built a grotesque physical sculpture called CH(AI)MER β described as a grotesque amalgamation of AI slop as body parts, with poreless skin that looks like it's melting and uncanny dead eyes. The inspiration is the classical chimera from Greek mythology, a creature that symbolised chaos and destruction. Electric Dreama Studios say the sculpture is a vow. It built the "ugliest version of AI slop" that it could as a reminder of what art NOT to make in the future. Everything the studio makes from now is a commitment to the opposite β AI used only as a tool in service of human intention.
